Ladislav Ferenčík
1953–2018 Košice
A Košice painter and printmaker, member of the Slovak Art Society (Umelecká beseda slovenská). Born in 1953, he bound his whole personal and artistic life to Košice, where he died in 2018; his work was dominated by figural motifs and the life of the city — streets, people, urban bustle. His paintings and prints are now regularly offered by Slovak auction houses; Street in our collection is a typical example of his urban poetics.
