Vladimír Plachý
* 1956, Moravský Krumlov
A Slovak-Czech painter of lyrical landscapes and bouquets, born in Moravský Krumlov and active in Bratislava and southern Slovakia: he was formed as a painter in Professor Olšanský's private plein-air school, and his impasted hand carries quiet poetry and Christian symbolism. His work earned the jury prize at the show in Grottammare, Italy, and his paintings appear regularly in Slovak galleries and at auction. The Landscape and Blue Flowers in our collection represent both of his core registers.
